I have chosen to continue with support for the Butterwick Children’s Hospice, in conjunction with my main charity, the Kitwood Unit. This is a dedicated area, based in the Resource Centre at Alma House Stockton. It is designed to help promote respect and dignity for the victims of early dementia. It takes the form of a dedicated room, manned by specialist staff who can help inmates to manage to cope with the specific difficulties of this affliction.

The Club has agreed to support me in this endeavour, and will help to raise funds to ease the burden on those concerned. This will include the Golf Day and other events yet to be decided.

I will also continue to give help and aid, where necessary, to the Bridge House scheme which was the main Charity last year.

My council is a mixture of new and experienced personnel, and we will carry out the needs of our members.
