Service activities
A very important part of the Rotary movement is to help those less fortunate, particularly locally, but also nationally and
internationally. This is done not only by raising funds, but also by direct help and contact. Examples

Hospices
Dogs Trust
Mock interviews for school leavers and university entrants
Handyman help for Age Concern
Donations to various local Charities

Internationally (Rotary is arguably uniquely equipped to cross international borders)
Worldwide Polio eradication-money and expertise
Via local schoolchildren -'shoeboxes' filled with items and sent to children in disaster areas
'Send a cow'-promoting self help in Africa
Group Study Exchange / Ambassadorial Scholars to and from other countries
Aquafilter-purifies almost any water
Vision Aid overseas
